Trakdip is a product of Codicra Technologies. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, and protect your information when you use the Trakdip mobile app, WhatsApp bot, or website (collectively, the “Service”). By using the Service, you agree to the practices described in this policy.

Information you provide

• Phone number — used as your primary identifier. Required for registration on both mobile and WhatsApp.
• Name — provided during mobile registration or sourced from your WhatsApp display name. You can update it at any time.
• Financial records — income, expenses, debts, and repayments you record through the Service.

Information collected automatically

• Usage data — which features you use, when, and from which channel (mobile or WhatsApp).
• Device information — device type and operating system, used to improve app compatibility.
• Log data — server logs including IP address, request timestamps, and error information, retained for security and debugging purposes.

2. How we use your information

• To provide, operate, and improve the Service
• To authenticate you and keep your account secure (OTP verification, JWT tokens)
• To send you debt reminders and notifications you have requested via WhatsApp
• To process subscription payments and maintain billing records
• To respond to support requests and communicate service updates
• To detect and prevent fraud, abuse, and security incidents

We do not sell your personal data to third parties. We do not use your financial records for advertising purposes.

3. How we share your information

We share your information only in the following limited circumstances:

• Service providers — we use third-party services to operate the platform, including Meta (WhatsApp messaging), SMS providers (OTP delivery), and payment processors (subscription billing). These providers access only the data necessary to perform their function and are bound by confidentiality obligations.
• Legal requirements — we may disclose information if required by law, court order, or to protect the rights and safety of our users or the public.
• Business transfers — in the event of a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, your data may be transferred as part of that transaction. We will notify you before your data is subject to a different privacy policy.

4. Data storage and security

Your data is stored on secure servers. We use industry-standard security measures including encrypted connections (HTTPS), hashed authentication tokens, and access controls to protect your information. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. We will notify you promptly in the event of a data breach that affects your personal information.

5. Data retention

We retain your account data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we will delete or anonymise your personal data within 30 days, except where we are required to retain it for legal or regulatory purposes (such as billing records). Financial transaction records may be retained for up to 7 years for accounting and compliance purposes.
